According to a leak from a classification agency, a Switch 2 version of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is in the works. This edition for Nintendo's next console has been clearly mentioned, but it has yet to be confirmed by Bandai Namco. The port may not be ready for the Nintendo Switch 2's release on June 5, 2025, but it's expected to arrive. At the same time, the game is improving every week thanks to updates from Spike Chunsoft, but also through community mods. Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is finally the ultimate game thanks to this new free mod.
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero's roster is making a leap
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is still in its early stages, and the developers still have a lot of work to do. The April 2025 update brought a whole host of improvements and fixes to perfect the experience of this game that has been a hit. As with other titles, fans are quick to beat Spike Chunsoft to the punch by creating their own unofficial new additions to PC with mods. For example, one mod removes 60fps on this platform, while another adds Black Gohan, a "Black" version of Beast Gohan.
This type of creation affecting the roster is not unprecedented, but we have just reached a new level with the Dragon Ball Sparking X mod by LukXsu. The latter has undertaken to increase the cast from more than 180 fighters to more than 750 playable characters. Yes, it's absolutely colossal and there's even an originality. Rather than limiting himself to the different variants that can be seen in the manga, films or animated series, LukXsu has also made sure to implement fan creations, which therefore do not come from the imagination of the late Akira Toriyama.
As indicated by the YouTuber, this "insane" modpack for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero on PC is not a creation strictly speaking, but a project that brings together and modifies existing mods. After installation, you can have Super Saiyan Raditz, Super Saiyan God Broly (Dragon Ball Super) or even Cellbuzer which is a fan fusion between Cell, Freezer and Majin Buu. A word of warning, however: many characters are just skins of already available protagonists, and therefore, don't expect to have fighters with 100% new moves.
