For several decades now, Final Fantasy has been an absolutely essential franchise. It's literally several generations of fans who follow and adore it. Soon, Final Fantasy will have the right to a highly anticipated collaboration with another cult franchise, miles away from its universe, at least on paper. But in reality, it's absolutely sublime. It's pushing some fans to make themselves heard, demanding something that is also eagerly awaited: the return of a flagship trilogy of the franchise.
Final Fantasy arrives in an unexpected game and it's absolutely superb
No introduction is needed for Magic the Gathering, the collectible card game that appeals to millions of players around the world. While the franchise's universe is primarily focused on heroic fantasy, it has gradually opened up to other genres. Notably through collaborations with famous franchises like Final Fantasy. This crossover has been eagerly awaited since its announcement, and it clearly did not disappoint; it's absolutely superb. Let it be said that even Final Fantasy fans who haven't touched a Magic card are won over. The artwork is splendid. From Sephiroth to Yuna, including Cloud and Lightning, all the great Final Fantasy characters are represented in this new collection, which Magic players and Final Fantasy fans will certainly be snapping up.
This partnership will also bring new features such as the ability to choose your jobs, a clear nod to the franchise, as well as ultra-classy double-faced cards. Pre-orders are now open at most retailers, and the expansion will be available on June 13th.
Fans absolutely want the return of this FF series!
Moreover, it is because of this crossover that some players are rushing to the doors of Square Enix to demand the return of an unfairly sidelined trilogy: Final Fantasy 13. It seems that seeing Lightning, superbly put The rise in Magic cards has rekindled the flame. Every Final Fantasy game, without exception, has been remastered. Even some spin-offs like Crisis Core or the mobile version of FF15, which landed on consoles. Three games are still missing: FF13, FF13-2, and FF13 Lightning Return. A trilogy that was somewhat criticized upon its release, but also adored by many fans. While the reception at the time was mixed, the games, and especially the characters, won over fans. This love for the trilogy has even grown over the years. Clearly, we don't really know what Square Enix is doing. FF13 is available on PC, but in versions that aren't exactly stable. Or you have to have the Xbox 360 versions to enjoy it on Xbox, but then again it's not Peru. GO SQUARE ENIX!
