Metroid Prime: a new essential collector's item for fans

Even though Nintendo has teased Metroid Prime 4 Beyond for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, there's no release date or launch window. We just know that it's still part of the Japanese manufacturer's upcoming lineup for both consoles, like Pokemon ZA. To tide us over until the big day, the franchise has been releasing various collector's editions over the past few months. Here's the next one, which is expected next summer and won't cost you an arm and a leg.

A new collector's edition for Metroid Prime available for pre-order

Fans will "soon" be able to take control of Samus again, who will make a strong comeback in MP4. Before this big moment, the manufacturer First 4 Figures has put on sale a Samus Varia Suit collector's statuette and another Samus Phazon Suit variation, knowing that the first is available and that the second is expected for delivery in the third quarter of 2025. But a new must-have collector's item for long-time fans has been revealed. The Piggyback company, which is known for its comprehensive and careful guides, such as those for Metal Gear Solid 5, Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2 and many others, is tackling the Metroid Prime trilogy with a 212-page artbook.

"This visual compendium celebrates the art of the Metroid Prime series, spanning the original game, its two sequels, and the remastered version, with exclusive contributions from the game's developers. This hardcover anthology covers over 20 years of Metroid Prime development and includes exclusive commentary from Nintendo producer Kensuke Tanabe and the esteemed Retro Studios," the company says. While it's primarily images, the text is in English. The artbook is available for pre-order at €46.49 with delivery on June 24, 2025.
