SFR launches a new Fibre Power S offer, here’s who it’s aimed at

SFR is refreshing its internet subscriptions with the launch of the Fibre Starter S offer at €29.99 per month. This offer appears more expensive than the Fibre Starter subscription, but the price remains the same after 12 months. All with a few fewer services.

SFR is launching a new entry-level internet access offer that is cheaper (over time) than the Starter subscription. With a 12-month commitment with no price increase at the end of the period, the SFR Fibre Power S offer costs €29.99 per month. It offers up to 1 GB of symmetrical speed, all with one of the latest SFR Box 8s equipped with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, among other things.

Unlike the Starter offer, the Fibre Power S subscription includes a Wi-Fi repeater right out of the box. However, you have to miss out on a few features. For example, the TV channel count is 160 channels compared to 200 channels with the Starter offer. And no subscription, or free period for Netflix, Prime Video or Disney+ is included.

As a reminder, the Starter offer, also with a 12-month commitment, is available at €26.99 per month during the commitment period, followed by a rate of €34.99 per month. It offers a symmetrical speed of 2 Gb/s. and 200 TV channels, plus 6 months of free Netflix, Prime Video, or Disney+.

In both cases, the TV offer comes with an Android TV box. Customers also have access to unlimited calls to landlines and mobile phones in Europe and many other countries. Although two-thirds are still very fiber-focused, customers who are not yet in a covered area can benefit from ADSL.

The SFR Power S offer thus seems aimed at those who want a reliable triple-play offer, without unnecessary extras, while the Starter was aimed at an audience more demanding in terms of speed and content. SFR is currently offering a small gift to make it easier for customers to switch to these two offers.

Indeed, the line opening fee of €49 is waived, which still represents the equivalent of a month and a half of subscription.
