This Sims 4 competitor is still showing up and impressing

Since its announcement in 2019, Paralives has been making simulation game fans salivate. Faced with the giant The Sims 4, this independent project is moving forward slowly but surely. And even if public updates are rare, each new appearance creates an event. This is still the case today, with a short clip that is causing a stir.

The Sims competitor shows himself again

The video, recently shared by the official Paralives game account, highlights an animation bug. We see a character sleeping completely sideways, his body half outside the covers. A funny detail, of course, but it's not what caught the attention.

What wowed fans was the realism of the sheets. Every body movement is followed by naturally forming folds. Textures react, animations are fluid, and all this in a soft, warm visual style, far removed from the sometimes too smooth or frozen look of some competitors. A cut above The Sims.

A team that takes care of the details

This bug didn't come out of nowhere. It accompanies a more technical update published in February on Patreon. It gives a behind-the-scenes look at development: the testing phases, the bug hunt, the constant adjustments. This attention to detail inspires confidence. Even errors are an opportunity to highlight the quality of the game's engine, more impressive than that of The Sims in several aspects.

And it doesn't go unnoticed. Under the publication, the comments are unanimous: "The cover animation is incredible", "It's so fluid!" Enough to revive the hype around Paralives. No exact date yet, but early access is still planned for 2025. The game will be released on Steam, for both PC and Mac. For now, the most curious fans of the Sims-like can follow the project's progress via the studio's Patreon, which continues to regularly reveal information in advance.
