The RTX 5060 will be available in a few days, but how? We can already fear a lack of stocks and higher prices than the price announced by Nvidia.
At the beginning of May, Nvidia made official its RTX 5060, an entry-level graphics card that offers Blackwell generation technologies to gamers on a limited budget. The manufacturer has announced a price of $299 in the United States, but the price is not yet known for France. If the same strategy is applied as for the RTX 5060 Ti, we can expect a few euros more to reach the price that will be charged here, which should therefore be around 319 euros.
The big question now is whether there will actually be RTX 5060s available at the recommended price communicated by Nvidia. For the other models in the RTX 50 family, this was not really the case, although the situation has improved somewhat over time. Annoyed by criticism of the price of its graphics cards sold by resellers and third-party manufacturers (the Founder's Edition is almost impossible to find), the Greens reportedly banged their fists on the table and asked their partners to market at least one reference per model at the price announced by the company.
Stock, price, what launch for the RTX 5060?
The problem is that this directive can be circumvented quite easily by brands that design custom graphics cards, by offering a basic RTX 5060 graphics card at the price wanted by Nvidia, but in very limited stock, then several other more expensive options under the guise of adding an additional fan, or a slight overclocking to gain a few MHz on the clock frequency.
The RTX 5060 is released on May 19, 2025 and has started to be listed on several online retailers around the world, And in most cases, the prices are higher than expected. At Best Buy, for example, a basic Asus RTX 5060 is listed at $339.99. For OC models (a little more powerful thanks to overclocking), it goes up to $379.99, or even $409.99 for the TUF Gaming model. Will we be happier in France? Nothing is less certain, answer in a few days.
