A few days ago, Ubisoft's UK account released a potentially significant teaser for Assassin's Creed Black Flag. For some time now, there have been numerous clues that suggest a remake is actively in development within the French giant. More recently, during a stream organized by figurine and statuette makers Pure Arts, one of its participants dropped another clue, adding even more fuel to the fire.
The art and manner of teasing an Assassin's Creed Black Flag remake
As we know, Ubisoft intends to capitalize as much as possible on the Assassin's Creed franchise. Between new games after Shadows, cooperative or multiplayer spin-offs, or even Remakes/Remasters, the French giant plans to release numerous titles based on this license in the coming years. Among the remakes that are the subject of more insistent reports, we have Assassin's Creed Black Flag, which is reportedly entitled to a complete graphical overhaul on Ubisoft's latest engine, Anvil, used for Shadows with particularly convincing results. It could also occupy a prominent place at the Ubisoft Forward conference as part of the Summer Game Fest 2025 coming this weekend.
Until then, it is through a Pure Arts stream that we are entitled to new clues of a potential imminent announcement for the Assassin's Creed Black Flag Remake. One of these participants in fact indicated, apparently inadvertently, the following: "Attention fans, something is coming for Edward Kenway, and our 1/8th scale PVC statue will represent him clearly." You can see the excerpt from the stream in question via the X.com publication below.
As a reminder, Edward Kenway is the name of the character we play in Assassin's Creed Black Flag. It could therefore be that Ubisoft contacted Pure Arts in advance to prepare a new statue in his image, potentially in preparation for a Collector's Edition of a Remake that could be announced very soon. See you in a few days for full confirmation?
