Prime Gaming is giving away five great free games to keep for life, so go for it

While we wait for the final wave of free games offered by Prime Gaming in June 2025 and see what the service has in store for July, five excellent titles will soon be leaving the catalog to make way for the next ones. So, a little reminder is in order if you want to add them to your game library.

Five very good free games still available on Prime Gaming

Of very different genres, the five free games offered by Prime Gaming that interest us share one thing in common: a deadline of June 25, 2025 before they disappear from the service. Here is a quick presentation of each of them.

Chessarama (Epic Games Store)

Let's start in alphabetical order with Chessarama. Here the platform focuses on originality. This puzzle game, developed by Minimol Games and released in 2023, revisits the mechanics of chess through several offbeat mini-games. The pieces retain their classic moves, but the objectives change with each mode. Ideal for those who enjoy puzzles or games that break new ground. Available for free via Prime Gaming on the Epic Games Store.

FATE (GOG)

We continue with FATE, which is a real gem for fans of old-school dungeon crawlers. Released in 2005 and developed by WildTangeant Studios, the game features randomly generated dungeons, classic but effective character progression, and a retro style that still hits the mark. It can be picked up for free via Prime Gaming, with a code on GOG. Note that its sequel, FATE: Undiscovered Realms, is one of eight free games arriving this week on the service, also via GOG.

Gamedec - Definitive Edition (GOG)

We then move on to Gamedec - Definite Edition, which is an isometric RPG where you play as a video game detective conducting investigations in virtual worlds. A rather original synopsis, well appreciated by players, carried by a very solid artistic direction very typical of cyberpunk, developed by Anshar Studios and released in 2021. Available for a few more days for free on Prime Gaming via a GOG code.

The Lost Ashford Ring (Legacy Games)

A radical change of era with The Lost Ashford Ring, a hidden object game with a hint of mystery developed by CRX Entertainment, published by Legacy Games and released in 2023. You set out on the trail of a missing ring in an old manor full of secrets. It's classic, but well executed. The perfect kind of game for fans of quiet investigations. Redeemable for free on Prime Gaming via a Legacy Games code.

Thief II: The Metal Age (GOG)

We end on a high note with Thief II: The Metal Age, which, despite its great age, is simply one of the best stealth games in history. The title was released in 2000, developed by Looking Glass Studios and published by Eidos Interactive. Play as Garrett, a shadowy thief in a steampunk world where every mission requires patience, stealth, and strategy. The game may be over twenty years old, but it's still impressively rich. Available for free without having to steal it from Prime Gaming via a GOG code.

How to recover Prime Gaming games ?

It couldn't be simpler. All you need is an active Amazon Prime subscription, then go to the Prime Gaming page. There, you'll find all the games available, with instructions on how to activate them on the various platforms (GOG, Epic Games Store, Amazon Games App, etc.). Don't wait, though, as these offers are available for a limited time.
