For PS Plus subscribers, June is a particularly intense month in terms of new releases. Today, June 5, for example, two new games are available for the PS Plus Premium plan, one of which is a total cult gem that should get your brain working.
Two bonus games join PS Plus Premium
This June 5, 2025, PS Plus Premium subscribers can access Myst. Originally released in 1993, this game is a pioneer of the narrative and puzzle genre. At the time, it impressed with its pre-calculated environments and mysterious atmosphere, laying the foundations for what is now called environmental storytelling.
The version coming to PS4 and PS5 via PS Plus Premium is the one recreated by Cyan in 2021, with real-time 3D graphics, a reworked soundscape and redesigned puzzles to offer a whole new level of gameplay comfort, while respecting the spirit of the original. The game also benefits from several accessibility options and a modernized save system.
- Myst
- Riven
The sequel is also available
The second notable addition this June to PS Plus Premium is Riven, the direct sequel to Myst. Already a cult classic when it was released in 1997, the game is now back in a completely remade version, launched in 2024 by Cyan Worlds. This is not just a port, but a complete remake, developed with Unreal Engine 5, which thoroughly modernizes the experience without betraying its heritage. Still as vast and demanding, Riven (2024) immerses players in a mysterious world where each puzzle fits perfectly into the environment. Exploration remains slow and meticulous, but much more fluid thanks to increased freedom of movement, sublime visuals, and puzzles redesigned to meet current standards. A true gem for fans of demanding narrative games. With the addition of Myst (2021) and Riven, Sony continues to enrich its PS Plus Premium offering by giving a second life to PC gaming classics. These titles are aimed at both nostalgics and new players curious to discover a fundamental part of the history of video games.
