Thought Summer Game Fest was over? You'd be right, because in a way, it is. But for Konami, which nevertheless participated in the party with some great announcements during the State of Play, it's clearly time for extra time. Indeed, to everyone's surprise, the publisher announced that it would be speaking again this week at a dedicated conference, the Konami Press Start, during which it promises new information on its various upcoming games... and even more.
Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake and Silent Hill f still have things to show us
This Thursday, June 12 at 3 p.m., Konami is giving us a new 37-minute speech, which will notably offer us a more in-depth look at Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater and Silent Hill f. In addition to being treated to new images of the games in question, the publisher reveals that the developers will be given the floor in interviews which, as we can imagine, will be rich in information on these highly anticipated titles.
"This live event will be an opportunity to hear directly from the creative minds behind some of KONAMI's most iconic franchises. Learn more about the development process, discover exclusive content and stay informed about upcoming releases" states the official press release. Because yes, if the focus will visibly be on the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 and the next Silent Hill, it would still seem that we are not safe from one or two additional announcements either.
Surprises in store?
Of course, there is no need to get too excited, since that would be the best way to come out disappointed. Still, it's not impossible to imagine that Konami could take advantage of such an event to reserve an unexpected new cartridge for itself. And in that case, the possibilities could be numerous. DLC for Silent Hill 2? Volume 2 of the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection? A potential return of Castlevania? Several of these things? Or perhaps none of these? See you in two short days to find out.
