While the Canal+ group has resigned itself to abandoning the Touche Pas à Mon Poste brand following the closure of the C8 channel, it is another cult show from the group that is about to disappear.
After TPMP, the Canal group is abandoning another show
Indeed, last February, Arcom confirmed the end of the broadcast of C8 and consequently that of the channel's flagship show, Touche Pas à Mon Poste presented by Cyril Hanouna. The latter will be back on television from the start of the next school year. He will work in the M6 group, hosting a daily show on Fun Radio as well as Tout Beau Tout Neuf on the W9 channel. After the end of C8, the Canal group tried to keep the show TPMP alive by broadcasting it on Internet boxes, but also on YouTube and Dailymotion. Finally, management decided to abandon the brand permanently. And this isn't the only cult show the group would abandon. Indeed, according to information from Télérama, an iconic show in the French audiovisual landscape is about to disappear after 20 years of broadcasting.
A show about cinema and series soon to be canceled
Thus, after TPMP, Canal+ would end the show Le Cercle. A program launched in 2005 which is an adaptation of the radio show Le Masque et la plume broadcast on France Inter. Presented at the very beginning by Daphné Roulier to talk about the films released the week of broadcasting with columnists and sometimes with a guest from the world of the 7th art, Augustin Trapenard and Renan Cros took turns presenting it.
In 2019, the show was declined into Le Cercle séries based on the same concept with Frédéric Beigbeder, Augustin Trapenard, Alain Kruger, the producer and Lily Bloom who presented it. This one should also disappear. However, for the time being, according to information from Télérama, "neither Canal+ nor Flab Prod have been willing to answer questions from our colleagues." We will therefore have to wait for this sad news to be made official. At the end of this media season, there may be many changes to the TV channels. Note that Arcom has made a change to the numbering of the DTT channels, which will take effect from June 6, 2025.
