Long associated with and even considered an Xbox Games Studios, People Can Fly is quite independent, despite the fact that they belonged to the Epic Games Store for a few years. In the 2000s, they contributed to the launch and success of the Gears of War saga with the development of the PC port of the game and their participation in the development of Gears of War 2 and Gears of War 3 in 2008 and 2011 on Xbox 360.
À To this day, although the studio is still close to Microsoft (and they are collaborating on the development of the upcoming Gears of War E-Day) alongside The Coallition, People Can Fly remains independent. In the meantime, they have been able to work on the development of several games such as Bullestorm (in 2011), Fortnite (in 2017) and Outriders (in 2021).
Clearly, the Polish studio is now preparing its first PS5 exclusive. People Can Fly has in any case just confirmed a partnership with PlayStation on its site official.
The «Project Delta» by People Can Fly and PlayStation
In a press release; release on its official website, People Can Fly confirms that it is working in collaboration with PlayStation on the development of a new video game codenamed "Project Delta". Apparently, this is not a new license, but rather a new, unreleased game based on a license belonging to Sony Interactive Entertainment.
According to the initial information in the press release, People Can Fly was approached by Sony to work on the project in exchange for remuneration. The Polish studio promises that new details will be shared soon.
As we know, Sony is preparing numerous projects with its PlayStation Studios and third-party publishers. Thus, we do not yet know if People Can Fly will be solely at the helm or if it will be a joint project with another studio, allowing them to lend a hand as they are doing with the new Gears of War at The Coallition.
