The launch of the Nvidia RTX 50 graphics cards was painful. In addition to stock issues, very disabling bugs appeared quickly after gamers received the component. The company reacted without delay, however, and even though the latest drivers numbered 572.xx are not yet perfectly stable, the biggest problems are behind us. But at the same time, a whole section of users is grumbling: owners of a model from the RTX 40 series.

Even though their production has officially stopped, they remain safe values that many are still satisfied with. Except that since the beginning of 2025 and the introduction of the 572 drivers, many have noticed the presence of critical bugs that are still not corrected despite the reports. On the social network Reddit, a user compiled several of these, and the findings are edifying.

In the worst cases, RTX 40s trigger blue screens of death. Sometimes, they "freeze" the computer, requiring a manual restart. The trigger seems to be the activation of DLSS with G-Sync, the technology that allows the image refresh rate to adapt dynamically. Among the games affected by the phenomenon are Cyberpunk 2077, God of War Ragnarok and Alan Wake 2.

The solutions are logical to failure to be optimal: disable problematic options, or even roll back to previous drivers, the 566.xx, which in fact prevents you from taking advantage of the latest new features and support for certain recent games.

For its part, Nvidia seems exclusively focused on the RTX 50, as evidenced by the driver update notes, almost never mentioning the RTX 40 bugs in the “known issues“ section. Frustration is mounting and gamers are now calling on the manufacturer to seriously address the issue. Let's hope their voices will be heard.
