Baldur's Gate 3: Here's when the huge update we've all been waiting for will be available

Nearly two years after its release, Baldur's Gate 3 hasn't said its last word yet. Larian Studio may have moved on to two mysterious sequels, but the Belgian studio is out of the question to release its latest baby without a proper goodbye. The curtain will come down with the eighth and final major update for the CRPG, which promises to be particularly packed with new features. Some surprise new features, others requested since the release of BG3 in August 2023. After long months of work on it, the teams are finally ready to deploy the last major update of Baldur's Gate 3.

Finally a date for patch 8 of Baldur's Gate 3

Some PC players have already been able to approach it for a little while, but the big day is almost here. No more early access or privilege, the eighth and final major update of Baldur's Gate 3 will be deployed on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 French time on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series. A substantial patch, which will therefore mark the arrival of particularly anticipated new features. The photo mode promised for over a year will finally be available and it promises to be as rich as it is fun with a whole bunch of poses to immortalize your adventures. Cross-play between consoles and PC will also be added to Baldur's Gate 3, as will the split screen on Xbox Series S which was also long awaited.

The little surprise of the chef will be the 12 new subclasses that will be added to Baldur's Gate 3 with this next update. Larian promises new animations and effects for each of them. Here is the list with their English names, official translation errors for the moment:
