One of the most anticipated cinematic events of 2025, the film Kaamelott: Second Part (First Part) is making headlines again after this actor made this huge revelation about his character's fate.
Kaamelott: this character will be back
Four years after the success of Kaamelott: First Part, fans of the Alexandre Astier saga have a date on October 22nd to discover the sequel in theaters. The creator of the license has seen things in a big way since Kaamelott: Second Part will be divided into two two-hour films, which will be released a few months apart from each other, on the model of Kill Bill by Quentin Tarantino or Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions by the Wachowskis. If no release date has been given for the second part, we can however expect that it will appear during the first half of 2026.
Moreover, theories are rife concerning Kaamelott: Second Part. Alexandre Astier delivered a few rare elements, during an interview given to Première or a masterclass, organized in Avignon a few weeks ago. By comparing the end of KV2 to the fifth part of the Star Wars saga, the Lyon director promises us a darker film than the first feature film of the trilogy. Astier also confided that King Arthur will wear a strange costume, symbolizing his emotional state in the sequel.
Very vigilant about the information he releases concerning his baby, Alexandre Astier surely did not expect that Christian Clavier, who has played the Jurisconsult since Book V, would reveal major information concerning his character in Kaamelott: Volume Two. Indeed, during an interview he gave to the French media AlloCiné, the star of French cinema lent himself to the game of confidences: "I acted in bothKaamelott films.I'm not going to tell you anything, because he won't really like me telling you anything.I'll simply say that I was in prison. I was given a cold."
What the return of the Jurisconsult means for the sequel to Kaamelott
Information that will undoubtedly surprise fans, given the fact that Arthur made the decision at At the end of Kaamelott: Premier Volet, he decided to let Lancelot and his ministers escape, including King Loth, Father Blaise, the Jurisconsult, and Dagonnet. Did the Breton sovereign reverse his decision? Or did the character of Jurisconsult not listen to the threats made to him by the legitimate king of the Kingdom of Logres, thus leading to his imprisonment? Alexandre Astier, who has often indicated that he greatly enjoyed writing dialogue for Christian Clavier, undoubtedly took the opportunity of a prison scene to write prison scenes that could be among the funniest in the next feature film. Until Nowadays, the prison is regularly used as a place for comedy. We obviously remember the character of Fearmac (Bernard Le Coq) in episode 9 of Book II, but also the various imprisonments of Yvain, Gauvain, Léodagan or Arthur himself.
Finally, let us note that these revelations from Christian Clavier raise some questions about the presence of another actor in the cast; Indeed, if Jean-Robert Lombard had stated that he would be absent from the second Kaamelott film, the presence of the Jurisconsult in the jails of Kaamelott could however mean that Father Blaise had a similar fate. To be continued!
