CPU, battery and satellites: the little extras of the 9400 Plus chip

The previous Dimensity 9400 chip, unveiled at At the end of last year, alongside the Snapdragon 8 Elite, had already smashed performance records. And this new model should go even further. Indeed, the "Plus" version gains 100 MHz on its main core (3.73 GHz), for a minimal performance boost. AI, on the other hand, benefits from an optimization called Speculative Decoding Plus, accelerating language model tasks by 20%. Useful for voice assistants or instant translation.

Another advantage: low-voltage battery management. Manufacturers will be able to either increase battery life or reduce the size of the devices. The chip also integrates better support for BeiDou satellites, with a location time divided by three.
