As part of the major April update for its ecosystem, Microsoft's gaming branch is adding numerous features to various elements, including its precious Xbox Game Pass, particularly in its Ultimate tier. This therefore heralds significant changes on several levels, which we will dissect in more detail.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate joins the clouds
The most significant addition in this major April update for the Xbox ecosystem focuses specifically on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Still in Beta, Xbox Cloud Gaming is further expanding its influence, since the ability to stream a list of compatible games is now also available on the brand's consoles. As a reminder, such a thing was previously available on PC, smartphones, tablets, Samsung Smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV devices and Meta Quest headsets. To access it on consoles, simply go to the "My games and apps > Library > Owned games" menu and launch the games displaying a cloud icon.
However, remember that access to Microsoft's Cloud Gaming on consoles inevitably requires a subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. To stay on the subject, the update April's major update adds new streamable games, as follows:

The addition of Cloud Gaming support on consoles via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate also allows you to play any game installed on an Xbox console on any device or browser via the Remote Play. Game hubs are finally getting new displays on consoles, such as player stats, achievements, friends currently playing a given game, recent screenshots, and more. Finally, disk space management, which console games take up, is getting a new feature very interesting, allowing you to better manage things by freeing up unnecessary space.
Other important additions to the Xbox app
In addition to these many new features for Xbox consoles, including those offering a definite additional benefit to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, other highly anticipated additions are coming soon to the Xbox app. The app is being enhanced with several new features, such as the ability to to add games, join the Xbox Game Pass, or even recover benefits linked to the subscription service directly from your smartphone.
