Are you planning on going to Disneyland Paris? Be careful, a day in Mickey's Kingdom can end up with a relatively hefty bill. Between the price of entry tickets, parking, not to mention any souvenirs, extras, and food, a magical day at Disney can be expensive. We invite you to take a look at the various expenses to plan for a typical day at the Marne-la-Vallée theme park, as well as some tips.
Disneyland Paris entrance tickets
Disneyland Paris recently changed its pricing to dynamic pricing, as airlines and the SNCF do. The company announced that the maximum fare will not exceed 119 euros, except on three exceptional dates: July 14, October 31 (Halloween), and December 31. Prices therefore vary depending on the time of year and crowds.
- 1-Day/1-Park Freedom Ticket (undated): 119 euros (adult over 12) and 111 euros (child)
- 1-Day/2-Park Freedom Ticket (undated): 144 euros (adult over 12) and 136 euros (child)
- 1-Day/1-Park Dated Ticket: between 72 and 105 euros
- 1 Day/2 Parks Dated Ticket: between 97 and 130 euros
Tip: Children under 3 can enter for free, and remember to book as early as possible to get the lowest rates.
Parking prices at Disneyland Paris
Once you've purchased your tickets and set a date to enjoy Disneyland Paris, you'll need to budget for parking your vehicle for the day. Expect to pay 30 euros to park your car in the parking lot. If you take public transport, you can get to the park without paying for parking by taking the RER A from Paris (around 17 euros round trip).
Disney Premier Access
At Disneyland Paris, especially during busy periods, you need to be patient before you can access the attractions. Waiting times are relatively long, and to make life easier (in exchange for taking out your credit card), you can purchase Disney Premier Access (which replaces FastPasses). This way, you'll avoid waiting in lines. Two options are available: Disney Premier Access Ultimate, which offers 1 pass to all 16 eligible attractions, costing €120, and Disney Premier Access One, which is valid for 1 attraction, starting at €5. This item is not essential, however, if there are a lot of people, it can be practical.
Dining in Disneyland Paris
The theme park offers various dining options in the lands. Expect to pay on average between 10 and 15 euros for snacks, between 20 and 25 euros for fast food (Casey's Corner, Café Hyperion, etc.) and between 45 and 55 euros for a meal at the table at Bistro Chez Rémy and the Captain Jack's restaurant.
Tip: you can bring a picnic to save money because Disneyland Paris has designated areas where you can eat your meal.
Extras and souvenirs at Disneyland Paris
After your day at Disneyland Paris, before returning to the parking lot, stopping by the shops is a tradition. And between the plush toys, the mugs, and the Mickey ears, it's easy to be tempted. Disney ears cost between 15 and 30 euros, for plush toys expect to pay 15/25 euros for the small ones and 40/80 euros for the larger ones. Traditional pins cost between 7 and 12 euros.
Tip: To save money, compare prices in the park's different shops and set a gift budget that you don't exceed.
In the end, for 1 day at Disneyland Paris on a mini budget (1-park/1-day dated entry ticket, car parking, no Premier Access, no souvenirs and with a picnic) expect 130/150 euros per person. With a more comfortable budget, plan on 350 euros or more (including on-site catering, the souvenir budget and the purchase of Disney Premier Access).
