Opportunities to enjoy low-cost games have multiplied with on-demand catalogs. We're obviously thinking of Xbox Game Pass and PS Plus. Subscribing to Amazon Prime Gaming is also a good way to increase your backlog. But, it's also possible to get free games without spending anything at all on PC. This is happening on the Epic Games Store. So don't delay in grabbing the titles offered until May 15, 4:59 p.m.
Touch Type Tale is free on the Epic Games Store
Since last Thursday, anyone with a free account on the Epic Games Store can get Touch Type Tale for free. It's typically the kind of discreet indie game that nevertheless tries new mechanics to renew the experience.
In this case, it's the RTS experience with Touch Type Tale. The Pumpernickel studio has indeed opted for original and dynamic control. To direct your troops, you'll have to quickly type actions on your keyboard (that's good, we tested the Corsair K70 Pro TKL for you very recently). If you like strategy games, give the Epic Games Store a try until May 15.
Deadtime Defenders, the looter shooter is yours until May 15th
This week, Epic Games is seeing double! Instead of one, you're getting two games. The second is none other than Deadtime Defenders, a cartoony looter shooter with a strong arcade feel. Usually priced at €8.99, the title is free until next Thursday at 4:59 PM at the latest.
Developed by Arcane Embers, Deadtime Defenders is a frenzied title that will have everything to please action fans with a little RPG touch. You play as an elite soldier fighting against monsters galore. Purely focused on fun, this new free game from the Epic Games Store requires a minimum configuration to enjoy it. The only downside is that it is only available in English.
What will the next free games be on the store?
You understand the principle of the Epic Games Store: every Thursday at 5 p.m., one or more free games are available to claim. From then on, you have until the following Thursday to add them to your library. After this deadline, you'll have to checkout if you haven't obtained them. It does happen that some titles are offered again after the fact, but this is quite rare.
Usually, when a new free game is offered on a Thursday, the following week's game is announced at the same time. However, the Epic Games Store also likes to surprise its community. So don't be surprised if you don't yet know the names of the future free titles. They are being kept secret until the rotation, on May 15th.
