April has been a painful month for gamers and the video game industry. After the rather questionable announcement of the Nintendo Switch 2 at €469.99, games that will go up to €89.99, then the increase in the price of the PS5 Slim, going from €449.99 to €499.99, we have just learned that it is Microsoft's turn to inflate its prices and in a rather violent manner. All Xbox consoles and accessories will see an increase of 20 to 130 euros.
Xbox: prices are soaring
Almost five years ago, in November 2020, it was possible to buy your Xbox Series X for 499.99 euros and your Xbox Series S at a price of 299.99 euros. But that was ancient history, because now you'll have to pay no less than 599.99 euros for a Series X and no less than 349.99 euros for the Series S.
Microsoft hasn't officially announced the price increase yet, but many retailers have already received the updated pricing for consoles and accessories. And it hurts a lot:

It's worth noting that these prices may change, as the increase will clearly vary between territories, particularly between the United States and Europe. One thing is certain: the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will increase by €50 here.
