Electronic Arts and F1 renew their partnership for two years

A few days ago, F125, the new edition of the official Formula 1 game, developed by Codemasters and published by Electronic Arts, was released. This opus was, officially, the last licensed game, since EA's F1 rights were due to end at the end of the year. But, apparently, we should be entitled to the games F1 26 and F1 27 since the two companies have reportedly renewed their agreement for at least two years.

Electronic Arts and F1 renew their partnership for two years

We owe this information in advance to the media Insider-Gaming confirms, according to their sources, that Electronic Arts and Formula 1 have renewed their agreement around the official F1 license for games developed by Codemasters and published by EA.

While the contract was due to end at the end of the year, making F125 the last game under the license, Insider-Gaming confirms that the two companies have extended their contract for at least two years, until the end of 2027.

The relationship between F1, Codemasters and EA Sports began in 2019. This marked the return of the "Formula One" license after several years of absence. Overall, feedback from the press and players has been relatively positive since the series' revival.

The latest installment, F1 25, available since May 30th on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, has also received rather positive feedback. Thanks to the different game modes such as the return of Flashpoint 3, the improvements to My Team 2.0 and the improvements to career mode, this makes for one of the most comprehensive games in recent years.

With the new regulations expected next year in F1, it's a safe bet that the next installments will be interesting.
