The opening conference of Summer Game Fest 2025 was not to everyone's taste. Aside from the fanfare announcement of Resident Evil 9 that everyone was expecting, many found it lackluster due to a lack of major announcements and big new games. It is therefore naturally towards the Xbox Showcase this Sunday, June 8th that all eyes are turning. The 2024 edition was indeed the summer conference not to be missed, and it could well be the case again this year. Especially since a certain The Elder Scrolls 6 could make an announcement there.
The Elder Scrolls 6 at Xbox Showcase 2025?
Wait two seconds before calling us crazy in the comments. Yes, we know, this sixth numbered episode is still light years away from arriving on consoles and PC. Bethesda had announced the color: the workforce would mainly move on to The Elder Scrolls 6 once Starfield was finished. The space RPG is certainly out, but it still has at least one DLC and a PS5 port to announce, but it could well be that the teams are busy preparing a little surprise for you during the Xbox Showcase 2025. In any case, this is what Jez Corden's sources suggest, a more than reliable source when it comes to Microsoft.
He has indeed started to hear rumors about The Elder Scrolls 6 among his recurring sources. "I have the impression that more and more people at Microsoft are aware, which makes me think that a trailer is being made internally," explains the American journalist. In other words, Bethesda could finally deliver a first real trailer for The Elder Scrolls 6 during the Xbox Showcase 2025, or later this year. After the success of the Oblivion remaster, it would be a shame not to strike while the iron is still hot. It must be said that after 7 years, it would be time to give us something other than a landscape background to sink our teeth into.
As a reminder, rumor has it that The Elder Scrolls 6 will take place in Hammerfell, a region that is clearly recognizable in the first teaser with its rocky mountains and arid deserts. There are also rumors of greener areas in High Rock, known for its port cities and castles, fishing mechanics, and underwater exploration. All of this is obviously to be taken conditionally until a possible announcement at the Xbox Showcase which will be held tonight at 7 p.m., or later in the year.
