What does One UI 7 bring?
Presented as one of Samsung's most important updates, One UI 7 stands out for its modernized interface. The brand brings a simplified home screen, as well as One UI widgets and a redesigned lock screen. The big new feature of this version based on Android 15 is the Now Bar, a toolbar that provides real-time information on the lock screen. It aims to allow the user to obtain key elements without having to unlock the device.
The Galaxy AI suite benefited an improved experience with four major new features:
- AI Select: Makes intuitive recommendations by understanding context, minimizing the need to switch apps. With AI Select, a simple gesture in the Edge panel can turn a video into a GIF in one click.
- Writing Assist: This tool makes writing easier by automatically summarizing or formatting texts.
- Drawing Assist: This tool allows you to transform basic drawings with AI.
- Audio Eraser: Removes unwanted noise (wind, traffic, etc.) from videos to achieve clear, crisp audio.
While all compatible devices benefit from improvements, Galaxy AI's advanced features are exclusively reserved for the most recent models, due to their technical requirements. Finally, there are also the latest Google features for Gemini and natural language search. With this new feature, users can go to Settings and say "my eyes are tired" so that the smartphone offers options such as brightness adjustment or the visual comfort protection function.
