Starfield should soon be getting a PS5 port, as well as a second major DLC after the rather disappointing Shattered Space. While we wait for more information on that, the title is receiving a major monthly update, which brings several welcome changes and, naturally, fixes more bugs scattered across the galaxy. Let's take a closer look.
May Day, Starfield is still updating
A little less than two years after its release, Starfield continues to update, and Bethesda continues to work on a seemingly busy roadmap for a few more years, alongside the development of a certain The Elder Scrolls 6. So, just recently, patch 1.15.216 has entered orbit, bringing several changes to both the base game and Shattered Space.
Among the most notable elements of this new major Starfield update, we can note the addition of "Very Low" graphics settings. This should finally allow modest PC configurations to run the game correctly. The update also pays special attention to mods made with the Creation Kit, compatible on both PC and Xbox Series, and presumably on PS5 when it is ported there. In this area, patch 1.15.216 adds the ability to create new icons in the game, support for mod packs on the Creations Store, and mods that can reach a maximum size of 2 GB. All of this should make life easier for modders on Starfield.
Finally, a big update means bug fixes galore. This is true both for Creations and for gameplay, quests, the interface, and the Shattered Space DLC. On the technical side, we can also note the addition of 32:9 and 32:10 resolutions, in addition to additional resolutions for 16:9, 16:10, and 21:9. This should allow ultra-wide screens to shine better on Starfield. For more details, visit the dedicated blog post on Bethesda's official website, also cited as a source below.
